Allen Cunningham

I am originally trained in the field of Architecture and have brought many projects from concept to completed buildings with almost 10 years of design experience and almost 4 years of team management and leadership. The industry taught me many valuable skills ranging from my first steps into 3D modeling, spatial and design awareness, creative problem solving, and team communication. Through all this I discovered a love in self learning 3D modeling that branched into animation, a subset from my passion for anime.

Video games and anime have always had a huge impact on me, but it was after showing “A Silent Voice” to my younger brother that I realized I needed to make a career change. I loved the movie and knew it had a powerful and emotional story but I never thought media could have the impact it was about to make. As the movie ended and credits started to roll, we sat there taking in the music and the story we just witnessed. Then he broke our silence, “I have depression and I’ve thought of suicide.” The story was so powerful it helped him reach out for help. This made me realize I wanted to be a part of something just as impactful. Maybe it give’s someone the strength to reach out for help. Maybe it give’s them something to bond over and make friendships. Whatever I work on, I want it to have a positive impact.
